Privacy Policy

Fialo (Family Information And Life Organizer) is a household-records product operated by Sureguard LLC (“Sureguard,” “we,” “us”). This Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Account information. When you sign in we receive your email and a unique identifier from our authentication provider (Clerk). We do not store your password.
Records you enter. Insurance, vehicles, medical, finance, documents, contacts, reminders, photos, secure notes, and anything else you save inside Fialo is stored on our servers so the product can show it back to you and your household. We do not read your records to advertise to you.
Files you upload. Photos, scanned documents, and other files you attach to records are stored on object storage controlled by Sureguard. Each file URL is signed and short-lived.
Usage signals. Standard server logs (IP address, request path, response status, timing) are kept short-term to keep the service reliable.
Affiliate clicks. When you tap a Shop drawer listing we record the listing id and a tap event so we can pay partners and improve recommendations. Affiliate destinations (Amazon, partner sites) follow their own privacy policies.
How we use it
To provide, secure, and improve Fialo. We do not sell your data. We do not show ads inside Fialo. We do not use your records to train third-party AI models on your behalf.
How it’s stored
Records live in a managed Postgres database on infrastructure operated by Sureguard in Germany (Hetzner). Sensitive fields (secure notes, third-party tokens) are encrypted at rest with keys Sureguard controls.
Who else touches your data
We use a small set of subprocessors strictly to make the product work:
- Clerk — authentication and session management.
- Anthropic — Claude API for the Ask Fialo agent and document scanning. We send the relevant message or document; we do not send your full record set.
- OpenAI — text-to-speech for spoken replies. The audio request contains only the reply text.
- Resend — outbound email and inbound forwarding ingestion.
- Hetzner — server hosting in the EU.
Each subprocessor is contractually limited to processing data on our instructions for the operation of Fialo.
Your choices
- Access & export. You can view every record you’ve added inside Fialo at any time.
- Delete. You can delete individual records or your whole household. Deletion is honored on the live database; backups are purged on a rolling 30-day cycle.
- Sharing. Records you mark “household” are visible to other household members you’ve added. Records you mark “private” are visible only to you.
- Trustees. If you appoint trustees for emergency access, they can request read-only access; you have a 7-day cool-off to cancel before any access is granted.
Children
Fialo is intended for adults managing a household. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us so we can remove it.
Changes
We’ll post material changes to this Policy here and update the “Last updated” date.
